Alison Free Online Courses for Preppers
Skills are the one prep you can’t lose in a flood or leave behind in an evacuation. Alison is a free online learning site with hundreds of self-paced courses, and a good number of them fit right into a preparedness plan: first aid and CPR, food preservation, water treatment, gardening, basic electricity, carpentry, plumbing, and more.
Every course is free to take. If you finish one and want proof for a resume or LinkedIn, Alison sells an optional certificate (or diploma for its diploma courses), but you never have to buy anything to learn.
Below are some of the most useful courses to start with. For the full collection, sorted into Learning Tracks, visit The Free Shelf.

We may earn a commission if you buy an optional certificate or diploma through our links, at no extra cost to you. The courses themselves are free.
